Founder of CS Accounting (and self-proclaimed Gin Connoisseur)

A devoted woman to her family, her business and her life, Catarina has an unapologetic passion for empowering people to fall in love with their numbers and create a life on their terms. 

Once Cat finished Year 12 in 2003, she moved straight into working full-time at a local accounting firm, while also studying her Bachelor of Commerce. Through working and studying simultaneously, she completed her degree by 2010, adding a wealth of knowledge to her portfolio. Little did she realise, this was just the beginning. 

Cat then spent the next five years expanding her wisdom by moving into business planning and business valuations under the guidance of her mentor, Gary Packer.  

She started her family between 2011 and 2014, while building the foundations for what she didn’t yet know, would become CS Accounting. With 3 under 5, motherhood taught Cat many invaluable lessons that no books could. She quickly learnt the importance of being solutions-minded, high-quality systems and efficient time management. These skills were essential to living both of her passions out successfully, as an entrepreneur and as a mother. 

By 2019, Cat realised a gap in the industry. Where many viewed the accounting relationship as just tax returns and BAS statements, for her, it meant so much more. Cat’s mission to empower and support regional businesses so they could grow and thrive, became the motivation behind opening her own firm. It was this passion that effortlessly flowed into her growing team, and has become the high standard of service you feel the moment you walk through their doors.

Cat loves her community. So much so, she’s the Advisor for the Women in Business (WiB) Foundations Program—a program that supports female small business owners who want to improve their management capabilities and grow their business products, services, and markets. Find out more info here!
